Brendan Tupa founded Entrepreneurs & Free Markets, PLC in 2006 to focus his practice as an attorney, counselor, and advocate for entrepreneurs and free markets. He has since argued cases before state and federal courts at both the district and appellate levels. His clients consist of individuals and businesses, from across the nation, of all varieties, including contractors, banks, night clubs, franchisees, restaurants, insurance agencies, retailers, and even other law firms. Having served over 300 clients in over 500 matters, Brendan has the knowledge and experience to achieve results in an effective and efficient manner.
Defending individual liberties by prosecuting unscrupulous offenders and protecting against frivolous claims is a passion for Brendan, especially when he has any opportunity to present the matter in court or in the public arena. Whether the culprit is an insurance company, a business competitor, an employer, customer, a state agency, a police officer, deputy sheriff, or a building inspector, Brendan takes pleasure in seeking justice for his clients. To date, Brendan has argued over 100 motions, appeared in over 100 depositions and examinations under oath, and brought in over 1.3 million dollars in settlements and judgments for his clients.
Prior to launching his own practice, Brendan worked as an associate attorney for a boutique, litigation law firm, locally known for its arson investigations. Prior to becoming a licensed attorney, Brendan served as a law clerk in the legal department of a Fortune 200 insurance company and in the law offices of a prominent local immigration and civil rights attorney. His legal experiences include the handling of complex multiparty cases in the areas of product, premise, and automobile liability, insurance, business, construction, and employment law, debtor defense/creditor remedies, landlord-tenant law, civil rights, and workers compensation.
On September 19, 2007, Brendan appeared on The Jason Lewis Show regarding his efforts to oppose Minnesota's minimum gas price law In the Matter of Midwest Oil of Minnesota, LLC.
In conjunction with Entrepreneurs & Free Markets, PLC, Brendan serves as Of Counsel for: The Seideman Law Firm, P.C.; The Palmer Firm, P.L.L.C.; Kaess & Associates, L.L.C.; Hussey Legal, LLC; PC Law Associates, Ltd.; Offices of Emilio N. Francisco, LLP; and Allegro Law, LLC.
